Philips has announced the release of a number of new apps in various territories including a NOS sports app for the Netherlands.
The special NOS Sports app will offer up to 12 live streams during the Olympic Summer games. It is available on all sets from 2010 and later and will also offer lots of coverage of the FIFA Euro 2012 football.
Reise TV is available for Germany, Austria and Switzerland and offers access to a number of travel programmes.
Also new on Net TV is the Turkish Küre TV. The application delivers TV and radio as provided on the www.kure.tv site.
Philips has also released a beta version of a new email client making reading and writing emails on the TV screen easier.
Meanwhile, viewers in the Netherlands are still expecting the arrival of a catch-up TV app from the SBS channels (SBS6, Net 5 and Veronica), which was promised some time ago, but so far has not appeared.
