The Russian cable operator ER Telecom has launched what it describes as “a revolutionary project” in 42 cities around the country.
Known as Music Club and undertaken in conjunction with Universal Music Group, it gives subscribers to the company’s Dom.ru service access to over 1.5 million songs in a catalogue of licensed content.
They will also be able to attend concerts in Russia by the British band Hurts and performances in Europe by major show business stars.
ER Telecom is a triple play company and end 2011 with an estimated 4 million subscribers to its services, or 101% more than a year earlier.
