June 1, 2012 10.53 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Czech & Slovak DTH platforms Skylink and CS Link have a combined total of 2.4 million active cards, according to Jaromir Glisnik, the president of the M77.

Quoted by Parabola, he added that Skylink had 1.7 million active cards and CS Link 0.7 million respectively.

Both platforms are operated by M77 Group, which is part of Luxembourg-based M7 Group and distributed by Astra, principally from 23.5 degrees East but in the case of some channels also 19.2 degrees East.

Separately, Skylink and CS Link will introduce a service charge in September for their customers who currently receive only their free channel offer.
