Poland’s leading DTH service, Platform ‘n’ has given details of its coverage of London 2012. The company says it will provide the most extensive coverage of the Olympics in the Polish market.
More than 100 hours of HD and 3D coverage will be transmitted by the Eutelsat-delivered satcaster including volleyball, handball, basketball, football, boxing, tennis, swimming and gymnastics.
‘n’ is sharing the Polish broadcast rights with Eurosport and TVP.
“No other platform in Poland, can offer consumers this level of Olympic Gams coverage and we’re bringing it to them in high definition and 3D, said Christian Anting, chief operating officer, Platform ‘n.’
Platform ‘n’ added 37,000 subscribers in 1Q 2012, taking its total to 966,000, up 16% year-on-year. The performance of Platform ‘n’ contributed to a 5% year-on-year increase in TVN Group revenues.
