Multimedia Polska says it has become the second largest cable operator in Poland after UPC following its recent acquisition of Stream Communications.
As a result of the deal, worth PLN153 million (€35.3 million), the company ended the first quarter with 827,076 subscribers.
It passed 1,428,960 homes and had a total of 1,548,250 RGUs (Revenue Generating Units).
In a statement, the company says the integration of Stream Communications into its own operation is being intensified and that most former Stream customers will soon be offered the same services as its own, which include digital TV and internet access at up to 120 Mbps.
Prior to the acquisition of Stream Communications, which had 98,684 subscribers in the first quarter, Vectra was the second largest cable operator in Poland.
