BT Vision has increased its subscriber base by 23% over the last 12 months, closing the quarter with 707,000 installs.
An additional 28,000 customers were added in the quarter as the once struggling IPTV operator prepares to offer linear content for the first time. Additional deals were signed during the quarter with Miramax and UKTV.
The picture has also been improved by growth in BT’s broadband base, particularly BT Infinity. Between them the services contributed to an increase in consumer ARPU from £337 to £343 in the quarter, though consumer revenue decreased by 5% in the year.
Its fibre broadband service is now available to ten million premises across the UK, several months ahead of schedule.
BT is investing £2.5 billion to make fibre broadband available to around two-thirds of UK premises by the end of 2014.
