Samsung Electronics and the Estonian telco Elion have signed a preliminary agreement in the Latvian capital, Riga.
Under it, Samsung will develop a unique smart TV application that gives access to IPTV services and content without the use of a set-top box.
The application, which should appear this year, will make a significant impact on TV services in Estonia and elsewhere in the world.
The agreement was signed by Boo-Keun Yoon, Samsung Electronics Central European unit president, and Arti Ots, the head of Elion.
