Financial expediency has arguably resulted in the Greek telcos Forthnet and Wind Hellas restarting talks about possible forms of co-operation.
Ekathimerini reports that this comes after the failure of talks between Vodafone and Wind Hellas about a possible merger.
Forthnet is a long-established ISP and has owned the Nova DTH platforms in Greece and Cyprus since 2008.
It is understood to have debts of around €350 million and has failed to go head with a share capital increase of at least €30 million, asked for by its creditors.
Wind Hellas, on the other hand, has to find another €50-80 million to pay for acquired frequencies by the end of this year.
