Sky is withdrawing its multiscreen service Sky Go from the Fetch TV set-top boxes as of May 13.
Fetch TVs boxes were sold by retailers including Tesco, Currys and PC World. The initially innovative devices gave access to both the BBC iPlayer and Sky Player, as well as the Fetch TV service of movies and thematic TV content.
Sky TV subscribers could nominate a Fetch TV box as one of the two devices used for Sky Go. It enabled them to stream a selection of Sky channels to the box over the internet without the need for a Sky receiver or satellite dish.
Last week it was announced that online entertainment service ShopTo.net had acquired the assets of Fetch TV, which went into administration at the turn of the year.
It is understood Sky chose not to renew the contract.
