NTV-Plus puts football in public domain

April 25, 2012 13.19 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus has launched a new site that allows sports fans the opportunity to watch football broadcast by its proprietary channels.

It will carry matches from the SOGAZ Russian Football Championship, along with Spanish La Liga, Italian Serie A, German Bundesliga, French League 1, Champions League, Europa League and much more.

The site will also give the results of major European and international football tournaments and host news releases and interviews from the world of football.

NTV-Plus is the longest established DTH platform in Russia, having made its debut in 1996.

Besides being a leading provider of content for the country’s pay-TV industry, it has spearheaded the rollout of both HD and 3D services in Russia.
