From May 1 the Italian channel Supertennis will broadcast in HD only on the Eutelsat Hotbird satellite as Supertennis HD. The channel is also available online and on DTT in Italy.
In addition to the HD version of other RTL channels, Liberty Global’s Unitymedia will also start to distribute RTL Crime HD from May 1. For the time being, this is an exclusive for the Cologne based cabler.
In the Netherlands, the public broadcaster NPO has said that age restricted material (16 years and older) will only be available on the catch-up TV service Uitzending Gemist after 10pm due to new media regulation.
