CME has provided an insight into its strategy in the six Central and East European markets it operates.
Speaking at the ZF Mobilio Apps & Business Forum in Romania and quoted by ZF, Robert Berza, head of internet division at the company, said: “Briefly, our strategy is as follows: a client must stay close to our programmes, our products, in all available windows, on all available terminals”.
The main theme of the forum was the evolution of local market mobile apps and ways in which local developers can take advantage of the opportunities created by the explosion of smartphones sales.
In the case of CME, official figures show that over 400,000 apps have been downloaded in its six markets, with the figures for Romania by far the best.
Berza hinted that although the Pro TV News app in Romania currently operates in a free-to-advertising business model, the company might consider introducing subscriptions for it.
