The Polish cable operator Toya has deployed a FTTH network that employs GPON technology supplied by Vector and allows for download speeds of up to 1 Gbps for individual subscribers.
Toya provides TV services, including the proprietary Telewizja 3G, internet and telephony, both fixed and mobile, to 160,000 of its own subscribers in eight cities and 90,000 served by 13 partner networks in 25 cities.
Telewizja 3G uses the most advanced decoders in the Polish market, giving viewers access to linear TV channels, a VOD library containing over 30,000 titles, music on demand (MOOD), several hundred radio stations, PVRs and useful information from the internet provided in an accessible form.
