Close to two in three Hungarian pay-TV homes are now receiving digital services, according to data published by the regulator NMHH.
As of the end of February, the figure stood at 1,687,656, or 59.5% of the total.
Of these, 921,078 opted for DTH or MMDS (Hello Digital) and 712,194 cable or IPTV services, while the pay-DTT platform MinDig TV Extra had 54,384 customers.
UPC was the leading provider of pay-TV services as a whole, claiming a 25.9% market share, followed by Digi (23%), T-Home (22.7%) and Tarr (3.2%).
UPC was also the leading provider in the wired sector (27.2%), while in the wireless market Digi (39.5%) claimed top spot.
