The Romanian cable operator Digital Cable Systems (DCS) is to invest heavily in its infrastructure.
Quoting the company, ZF reports that it has secured a loan of €15 million from the EBRD which will be used to extend its triple-play services to new areas, as well as upgrade existing networks.
DCS, which is backed by AIG and employs the brand name AKTA, has annual revenues of around €32 million and is present mostly in small towns and rural areas.
It also used to operate a DTH platform named AKTA Satelit but sold it to the incumbent telco Romtelecom.
