Neotion has been selected by the Ukrainian cable operator Volia to provide CI Plus modules.
Compatible with the Conax CA system, the modules can be inserted directly into the CI Plus interface present on all IDTVs and suitable set-top boxes.
Volia offers service in 20 Ukrainian cities and covers more than 3 million households.
The operator has also used modules provided by the Chinese manufacturer SMiT.
In a statement Neotion said it had been able to find a middle ground between volume and price while maintaining security.
In a separate development, the company has also announced that it has appointed Alexander Hnydiuk as its new CTO.
In his new role, he will be in charge of Volia’s technical strategy, which includes HDTV launches, design and construction of network infrastructure, centralisation of headends, improving the quality of the network and the modernisation of regional networks.
