Pay-TV revenues in Spain were 7.5% up year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2011, while the number of subscribers rose by 109,376, according to data produced by the regulator CMT.
IPTV services showed the most growth in the fourth quarter, with 29,416 net additions.
Audiovisual services posted a turnover of €1,09.2 million in the quarter, boosted by seasonal factors.
Spain ended the year with over 11 million broadband lines, with Telefónica for the first time accounting for less than 50% of the total.
Over half (54%) of broadband lines gave access speeds of 10 Mbps or more and 6.4% of 30 Mbps or more.
