New media holding for Moscow

March 30, 2012 10.58 Europe/London By Chris Dziadul

The Moscow City Government plans to incorporate all its media assets into a single holding company.

Kommersant reports they currently include the TV channels TV Center, Moscow 24 and Dovedie (‘Trust’), the latter two of which are distributed via cable.

TV Center, which is available FTA, claimed a 4.6% audience share in the capital in 2011, according to TNS Russia, while Moscow 24 and Trust accounted for 0.4% and 0.2% of viewers respectively.

The Moscow City Government also has radio and print assets that it will incorporate into the new holding.
