The Polish public broadcaster TVP has announced that its two main channels will become available in HD on June 1.
In a statement, it says that it has confirmed the date in response to “numerous questions from journalists and viewers”, adding that it has been chosen in order to provide coverage of both Euro 2012, which starts on June 8, and the London Olympics, in the format.
TVP channels are currently carried on both Poland’s first (MUX-1) and third multiplexes (MUX-3) but will migrate entirely to the latter by April 2014, 10 months after the ASO target date.
