The Slovak national commercial broadcaster TV Markiza plans to launch what will be its third channel at the end of the second quarter.
According to local reports, it will be known as Markiza Action and target male viewers.
TV Markiza, which is owned by CME, currently holds licences for two more channels – Markiza Action and Markiza Cinema – and there are no indications when the latter will launch.
Aside from a national station of the same name, Markiza currently operates Television Doma, Slovakia’s first niche channel aimed at young women.
It also distributes MTV and Nova Sport.
