UPC Romania’s revenues were slightly down in 2011, though its RGU (revenue generating unit) total rose.
Quoting financial indicators produced by Liberty Global, Business Review reports that total revenues for UPC Romania, the country’s second largest operator after RCS&RDS, amounted to $143.5 million (€108.4 million) last year, or 2.7% less than in 2010.
RGUs meanwhile increased by 3.3% to over 1,608,000.
The internet sector represents the greatest potential for growth and UPC Romania intends to extend the reach of its Fiber Power service, which at the end of 2011 was already available in around 70 cities throughout the country.
It will, according to CEO Severina Pascu, also widen the reach of its digital TV services and introduce new triple play packages.
