Sky Deutschland is adding a range of top movie titles to Sky Go on the iPod Touch and iPhone. Subscribers to the German platform could already enjoy blockbuster movies from the iPad, web and Xbox 360.
Sky Go draws on Sky’s linear channels through deals with studios including Warner, Sony, Fox and Disney.
Titles running over the next few weeks include Pirates of the Caribbean – Stranger Tides, The King’s Speech, Kokowääh, Sucker Punch, and The Smurfs.
New features allow subscribers to find a movie on their current mood or select a film through the random generator simply by shaking their iPhone or iPod Touch.
Titles can be recommended to friends through social media integration.
An extended Sky Go also includes exclusive live sport access to the channels Sky Sport 1, Sky Sport 2, and Sky Sport Austria, as well as breaking news, video highlights and the Sky Datacenter.
Since its launch in Germany nine months ago Sky Go has reached a subscriber base of 594,000, and achieved over 4 million unique viewer sessions in the fourth quarter 2011 alone.
