SMIT, a supplier of CAMs, has announced its successful integration of Cryptoguard for both consumer and professional use.
As a CAM manufacturer, SMIT is adding CryptoGuard CI Plus CAM to its Secure Plus CAM portfolio, which supports enhanced security technology together with CI Plus 1.2. At the same time, a professional type supporting up to eight concurrent services is also now ready on market.
By implementing Secure Plus CAM an operator can easily implement digitisation and acquire new subscribers if the end user owns any CI Host, especially iDTV.
Security is fully guaranteed, at the same level as traditional STBs. End users not only benefit by saving of additional STB, remote control and electricity power, but also enjoy more user-friendly services via iDTV & CAM in bundles.
CryptoGuard was established 2007 in Sweden. Currently, there are over 80 operators using CryptoGuard, reaching over 1.5 million TV subscribers, and it is used to encrypt content from all major content providers.
CryptoGuard can be used for DVB-C, DVB-S, DVB-T and DVB-IPTV. Safety and simplicity are key words and card sharing is impossible.
