Serbia has begun a DTT trial from a transmitter located on Mt Avala near Belgrade.
According to a statement by the public enterprise Broadcasting Technology and Communications (EVT), its signal will initially be available to around 40% of the population and offer viewers a total of 10 SD channels and a HD version of the public broadcaster’s channel RTS.
Serbia has opted for the DVB-T2 standard for its digital terrestrial services.
