Hungary ended January with 1,676,860 subscribers to digital TV services, or around 19,000 more than a month earlier.
Data published by the regulator NMHH shows that at the end of January there were a total of 701,071 digital cable and IPTV subscribers, while the number receiving DTH and MMDS (Hello Digital) stood at 923,284.
UPC remained the leading provider of subscription TV services, with a market share of 25.9%, followed by Digi (23%), T-Home (22.6%) and Tarr (3.2%).
Its dominance was stronger in the wired broadcasting sector (27.2%), with its nearest competitors again T-Home (19.7%), Digi (15.7%) and Tarr (4.6%).
Digi was meanwhile the leading provider of wireless broadcasting services (39.8%), with the pay-DTT platform MinDig TV Extra claiming 5.4%.
