The Czech national commercial broadcaster Prima TV has launched a new online on demand service.
Known as PrimaPLAY and referred to as the broadcaster’s fourth channel – aside from Prima TV, now known as Prima family, the MTG-owned company operates the thematic services Prima Cool and Prima love – its content is available free of charge to users and without the need to register.
It includes material that was previously available at www.iprima.cz and will be gradually increased.
TV Nova, the leading broadcaster in the Czech Republic, launched its online on demand service Voyo a year ago.
It has since been rolled out to the five other CEE markets CME, the company’s owner, is present in.
The national public broadcaster CT also had a service but closed it in 2009.
