Russia’s MTS ended 2011 with 2,987,000 subscribers to its pay-TV services, up from 2,580,000 a year earlier.
Its broadband subscriber total was meanwhile 2,152,000 (1,895,000) and the number of homes passed for fixed line operations 11,433,000 (9,890,000).
Residential ARPU amounted to R292 (€7.5), or 5% less than a year earlier, while corporate ARPU fell by 10% to R7,528.
Highlights in Q4 included the acquisition of TVT, the leading provider of cable and fixed broadband services in Tatarstan, for $162.9 million (€124.2 million).
