Russian IPTV providers are increasingly likely to include OTT services in their offers, according to Anatoly Smorgonsky, Vimpelcom’s director of marketing for the Moscow region.
Quoted by AKTR and TelecomDaily, he added that IPTV is now also moving to a multi-screen format.
In the case of Vimpelcom, the company plans to introduce a mobile application for Beeline TV in the first half of this year.
In Smorgonsky’s view, subscribers will probably be asked to pay a small additional fee to receive the service on multiple devices, including smartphones and tablets.
