AMC/Sundance Channel Global has entered into a number of new deals with Liberty Global.
Under them, Sundance Channel will launch for the first time in Romania, where it will be distributed by its DTH platform Focus Sat.
Additional carriage has also been secured in Hungary, where Sundance Channel will be distributed via cable by UPC.
It has been carried by UPC’s DTH platform in the country (UPC Direct) since last year and is also available on UPC’s Freesat in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Elsewhere, AMC/Sundance Channel Global has reached an expanded distribution agreement with Telenet, allowing for Sundance Channel to be seen in 1.4 million homes.
Earlier, it was announced that Sundance Channel would be launching this month in partnership with Film1, Benelux’s leading film channel bouquet, and a programming service of Liberty Global’s Chellomedia division.
