AMC/Sundance Channel Global has announced an expanded distribution agreement in Belgium with Telenet.
The agreement will enable Sundance Channel to be seen in 1.4 million homes, in both Flemish and French languages. Previously, Sundance Channel was available in Brussels and Flanders on Telenet as part of the HD XL Pack. This development will see the channel being made available to a much wider audience on the basic tier across Flanders in both Flemish and French languages.
“As our first European launch market just over two years ago, Belgium continues to be a key territory integral to building the Sundance Channel brand,” commented Bruce Tuchman, president, AMC/Sundance Channel Global. “We’re excited to extend our partnership with Telenet to deliver high quality entertainment on Sundance Channel to Belgian audiences across Flanders.”
“Sundance Channel offers our subscribers a terrific combination of independent films, TV series and documentaries that cannot be seen elsewhere,” said Ann Caluwaerts, SVP media and public affairs of Telenet. “We know that our audiences across Flanders will enjoy this great, new addition to our basic cable channel line-up.”
Sundance Channel is available as a 24/7 linear television service in standard and high definition on Telenet in Flemish and in French.
In Belgium, Sundance is also available on Belgacom TV and on the Numericable cable network.
Sundance Channel was established by Robert Redford and offers audiences a diverse and engaging selection of independent films, documentaries and original programmes.
