ADB has confirmed it is supplying its ADB-2840C high definition set-top box to Belgium’s VOO for its digital television services.
The set-top incorporates the Carbo software stack and has already been deployed on a number of networks across the world.
“We chose ADB for our TV Services because of its proven ability to deliver high quality products whilst keeping the simplicity of TV as it should be”, says Nico Weymaere, CTO at VOO. “Additionally, having Carbo Advanced integrated in the box allows us to enrich our subscribers’ experience over time without having to replace the hardware”.
Carbo incorporates both high definition features and integrated open standard APIs for 3rd party applications.
The Voobox was launched in Belgium at the end of 2011.
