The Croatian incumbent telco Hravtski Telekom (T-HT) ended 2011 with 321,256 residential TV customers, or 12.4% more than a year earlier.
Although the majority took its IPTV offer, they also included cable and DTH subscribers.
T-HT also had 19,487 TV customers in the business segment at year’s end, or 12.4% more than a year earlier.
Its residential ADSL total stood at 539,172 (-1.9% year-on-year), while that in the business segment amounted to 111,541 (+6% year-on-year).
T-HT’s revenues in 2011 amounted to €1,086 million (-3.6%), while EBITDA was slightly below 2010’s level at €487 million.
Net profit fell by 1.1% to €244 million.
T-HT notes that satellite TV is becoming an increasingly important element of the group’s TV offer.
It also says that the Croatian broadband market remains a significant growth opportunity for the company, with only 45% of households in the country at present receiving services, compared to an average of over 62% in Western Europe.
