The Polish cable operator Multimedia Polska has issued as statement clarifying its prospective sale.
In it, the company confirms that JP Morgan have been chosen to act as advisors in a strategic review of all the options that are now open to it.
Multimedia Polska adds that, “all options will be weighed up, including retaining the current ownership structure”.
It also says that the strategic review ids at a preliminary stage and that more information will, be made public following its completion.
In the meantime, it will refuse to comment on “market rumours and further media speculation”.
Multimedia Polska in addition says that it will in the meantime continue developing, as was recently borne out by its acquisition of Stream Communications.
Multimedia Polska was established in 1991 and could be a takeover target for both UPC Polska, the market leader, and Vectra, with which it vies for second place.
