Lovefilm is adding top US series from ABC TV on Demand in a deal with Disney UK.
The branded subscription video on demand service will provide streamed access to ABC Studios’ library of hit network and cable series. Including Desperate Housewives, Grey’s Anatomy, Ghost Whisperer and Brothers & Sisters (pictured). Many series will be available in their entirety.
Shows will be launched as full seasons after their first run on UK pay and/or free TV.
In its battle for content with the newly launched Netflix UK, Lovefilm has acquired content from studios and distributors including Sony, Warner Bros., Entertainment One and Studio Canal.
ABC TV on Demand launched in the UK in August 2010, when it appeared on BT Vision.
