LG Electronics has announced a partnership with FilmoTV to bring a subscription-VOD service to its connected TV sets. Retailing at €9.99 a month, the service is competing head-on with CanalPlay Infinity.
FilmoTV offers unlimited access to over 1,000 titles for a monthly subscription fee. Consumers who do not want to commit themselves to a subscription can see movies a la carte from €1.99 each.
“This partnership is a highlight for us, we have indeed, for many years a close relationship with cinema. Through this rich offer, consumers will have access to the best of the seventh art, from the comfort of their home, “said Alexandre Fourmond, marketing manager LG Electronics France, in a statement.
Until January 31, new subscriber will receive two months worth of free viewing. The service is available on all smart TVs from LG in France.
