Glashart introduces 31-channel Turkish bouquet

January 4, 2012 08.00 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Dutch FTTH provider Glashart Media is adding a dedicated bouquet of 31 Turkish TV channels to its line-up, making it the largest Turkish language offer on a fixed network in Europe.

Glashart Media is working together with Unikenz, a new provider of special interest channels for the Dutch market. The initial offer of Turkish channels consists of 31 channels, including regional and local broadcasters.

Unikenz hopes to extend the number of channels during the next few months. The offer includes the HD version of state broadcaster TRT.

The bouquet is available for the introductory price of €12.50 a month until July, when the monthly subscription fee will be €17.50.

With the offer, Glashart Media hopes to compete with satellite reception of the Turkish channels. The operator claims to bring the widest choice of Turkish channels of any network in the country.

The complete line-up consists of the following channels: 24, Karamel TV, Dost TV, Gala TV, Hilal TV, TRT Müzik, Kanal 7, Fox TV, KanalTürk, TRT Atpaca, TRT Avaz, Begün TV, TRT HD, Yurdum TV, TRT 1, TRT 3, TRT 4 / TRT Cocuk, TRT 6, TRT Haber, TRT Okul, TRT Turizm Belgesel, TRT Türk, TV 5, TV 8, Ülke TV, Berat TV, MMC Türk, Karadeniz Türk, Sebil TV, TRT Anadolu and TRT Gap.
