Morten Solbakken new Conax CEO

Morten Solbakken, COO, Telenor Broadcast Holding, took over as CEO in Conax on December 22. Solbakken has been acting CEO, Conax since September 14.

“Morten Solbakken knows the company well, as former board member and chairman of our encryption company and responsible for B2B units in Telenor Broadcast Holding. I am very pleased that he can continue permanently in the CEO-position in Conax. Morten’s experience and background suits the possession well,” said Patrik Hofbauer, CEO Telenor Broadcast, in a statement.

“Since September I have come to know the people in Conax as dedicated, with high competence and with real passion for the company and the business. I am proud to be a part of the Conax-team, and look forward to leading this exciting company within an exciting industry,” added Morten Solbakken.

Mr. Solbakken follows Berit Svendsen, who become EVP and CEO in Telenor Norway in September. He is a graduate from the Norwegian University of Science and technology (NTNU) and has been chief strategy officer at TBH since 2007, COO since January 2011.
