Orange has introduced an Android app in Romania that gives users access to 17 TV channels.
Available for free from the Android Market and Orange mobile portal, the channels can also be received without charge by subscribers who opt for the Panther package, costing €21 a month.
The Orange TV app is also available free of charge to iPhone users.
Commenting on the development, Orange product manager Tudor Juravlea said that the company would continue to develop localised applications designed specifically for public needs in Romania.
Separately, it has been reported that the incumbent Polish telco TPSA will rebrand its services Orange in the first half of 2012.
