YouTube lists most viewed videos of 2011

December 20, 2011 21.16 Europe/London By Robert Briel

WATCH VIDEOS. Like her or not – Rebecca Black’s ‘Friday’ is the most watched video of the year on YouTube with 180 million views.

The video portal just published its list of most watched videos during the year. Although YouTube is trying to beef up the quality of its content with TV-like channels, most of the best watched videos are still user generated.

At number two we find the Ultimate Dog Tease, with a talking dog. Michael Bolton’s performance as a crazy Pirates of the Caribbean fan on Saturday Night Live sits at number three

A family viral featuring the Talking Twin Babies is at number four; and more pets at number five with the Nyan cat.
