Iran has secured capacity on three satellites for distribution of its Spanish language TV channel.
Iran’s Voice and Vision Organization will officially launch the channel this Wednesday (December 21), the Fars news agency reported, according to BBC Monitoring.
It will broadcast from the Iranian capital, Tehran. Initially, it will be on air with 16-hour programming, but it will switch to round-the-clock broadcast, the agency said.
The channel is called Hispan TV and will be available in Europe and Latin America. It will broadcast on four different beams, two on Hispasat 1C (for Europe and Latin America), on NSS 806 and on Intelsat 9 (both for the Americas).
