The Czech Republic’s Regional Television Authority (RTA) has announced that it intends to takes steps to end its dispute the national commercial broadcaster TV Prima.
According to HN, the authority intends to contact the Office for Protection of Competition, the Council for Radio and TV Broadcasting (RRTV) and Czech Telecoms Office (CTU) in the next few days.
It will also apply to the country’s Senate for a hearing. The dispute relates to frequencies that the RTA currently shares with TV Prima.
The latter plans to end an agreement between the two parties at the end of this year and use the frequencies to distribute its own programming.
