Amino Communications has sold and shipped its four millionth set-top box. The device, an M540 PVR IPTV set-top box, will be deployed by Glashart Media, an Amino customer for the past six years.
Amino’s Aminet range of product has been installed in more than 85 countries around the world. The first product came to market in 2002. The company has subsequently developed business from network operators, hospitality and enterprise markets.
Amino CEO Andrew Burke said: “This is a great achievement and one which everyone associated with Amino is very proud. While our products have changed over the years, our values have remained consistent in terms of quality, customer focus and deep industry expertise”.
The company has developed both IPTV product and more recently capitalised on the enthusiasm for over-the-top technology.
