The Polish national commercial broadcaster TVN has announced that its on demand service TVN Player is now available on several more devices.
These include Sony PS3 games consoles, TVs and Blu rays from Panasonic Viera Connect and Sony, mobile devices with iOS (iPad and iPhone) and Android and the nbox set-top box.
TVN Player was launched in August this year and offers viewers 1,440 hours of content, with over 50 new hours added each week.
A study undertaken in September showed it had 775,000 active users, with 28 million views and an average viewing time during the month of 7 hours and 51 minutes.
Local industry sources believe TVN Player is now in a stronger position to compete more effectively with the rival Ipla service and that both are acting as a counterbalance to the expansion of international on demand services in Poland.
