The Slovak national transmission company Towercom has deployed a fifth transponder on Astra 3B at 23.5 degrees East.
In a statement, it says that as a result it has become the largest provider of satellite uplink services and facilities in Slovakia and the Czech Republic, providing “innovative and high quality TV and radio distribution, including broadcasting in HD”.
The satellite distributes services from the Skylink and CS Link DTH platforms to over 2.1 million households in the two countries.
