The Czech Association of TV Organisations (ATO) has signed an agreement with the company Mediaresearch for the provision of peoplemeter electronic TV audience measurements for the period 2013-7.
Although the association sees this as the “last legal step in the process of public procurement”, TV Nova, the country’s leading broadcaster, remains opposed to the move.
It first revealed its displeasure in September, when Mediaresearch was declared the winner of a tender in which three other companies participated.
The ATO was formed in 1997 and lists the public broadcaster CT and CET21 and TV Prima, the licence holders of TV Nova and Prima TV respectively, among its members.
