200 new jobs are being created in the Swedish town of Örnsköldsvik after Com Hem announced plans for a new customer service centre.
The cablenet is centralizing its customer services, from the current base in Harnosand, into the region of Västernorrland, where about 700 people will be employed in total. The previous outsourcing of customer services had attracted some criticism.
“In recent years we have been actively working to increase our customer service quality and implemented a number of improvements in the area. To gather all the customer service in-house is another important component of this work and we look forward to the establishment in Ornskoldsvik, said Linda Påhlsson, director of Com Hem’s customer service.
Recruitment for the new centre will start next month. The facility is expected to open in 2012.
