Amino Communications has named Kevin Lingley in the new role of chief technologist. Lingley has been with the Cambridge-based IPTV/OTT specialist for the past two years and has played a key role, both in the development of the Freedom OTT platform and developing the country’s relationship with Intel.
He will join the company’s executive team and report to Amino chief executive Andrew Burke, who commented: “This role will be critical in helping us shape, develop and articulate our future technology vision. Kevin brings in-depth technical knowledge, extensive experience from the broadcast entertainment industry and a real passion for driving innovation and we look forward to him making a major contribution to Amino.”
Lingley began his career with Cambridge-based computing innovators Acorn before moving to NTL, where he managed the cablenet’s interactive games channel. He then spent time working in the US developing mobile applications and later joined Sony to work on its GoInteractTV platform.
