The Polish media group Cyfrowy Polsat has expanded the reach of its Long Term Evolution (LTE) technology-based internet services.
According to the company, which operates the country’s leading DTH platform of the same name, this is thanks to the building out of the infrastructure of two companies – Mobyland and CenterNet – by over 20 more base stations, making the services available in a dozen new locations.
Cyfrowy Polsat was the first company to offer LTE-based internet services commercially in Poland, introducing its offer, giving download and upload speeds of up to 100 Mbps and 50 Mbps respectively, in August this year.
Cyfrowy Polsat’s DTH platform ended the third quarter with 3,506,077 subscribers, or 7% more than a year earlier.
