Tele München Group has acquired around 850,000 shares in Odeon Film AG, increasing it stake from 33% to more than 40%.
In July 2011, TMG’s interest in Odeon Film AG was officially cleared by the German competition authority Bundeskartellamt. With the latest acquisition, TMG becomes the second largest shareholder in Odeon Film AG.
Odeon Film AG is one of Germany’s leading independent production companies of television programmes and feature films and creates content for the public broadcasters as well as the big private networks. To date, the production volume comprises around 78 television series with approx. 2,600 episodes, 174 TV movies, 43 feature films and 20 documentaries.

Odeon Film AG is listed at the German stock exchange since April 1999. TMG owns and operates Tele 5 in Germany and ATV in Austria and is shareholder in RTL II.
