UPC Romania has increased the number of HD channels it offers to 13.
Furthermore, according to ZF, 30,000 of its subscribers now receive channels in the format, which the company was the first to introduce into the market two years ago.
Liberty Global-backed UPC Romania reported 538,100 analogue and 255,500 digital cable TV subscribers at the end of the third quarter, while its sister DTH service Focus Sat had 255,500 customers.
UPC Romania distributes more HD channels than its two main rivals RCS&RDS and Romtelecom.
